Our work is rooted in healing through movement, offering a space where individuals can reconnect with their bodies, minds, and spirits.
By weaving together yoga, mindfulness, culturally relevant practices, and the joy of dance, we create pathways for transformation, resilience, and self-discovery, particularly for immigrant communities and people of color in Maine.
Each session we offer is more than physical exercise—it becomes a journey of emotional release, mental clarity, and spiritual grounding.
With trauma-informed and multilingual approaches, we recognize and address our participants' unique challenges.
Dance adds a vibrant and dynamic element to our work, allowing participants to express themselves freely, connect with themselves, and experience joy in community.
Maine Afro Yoga is a project for Wounded Healers International. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. EIN 86-3187355.
