Becoming an Active By-stander

Our "Become an Active Bystander" workshop is designed to empower individuals with the skills and confidence needed to intervene safely and effectively in situations of harassment, bullying, or discrimination. Participants will learn practical strategies for recognizing harmful behavior, assessing the situation, and taking appropriate action to support those targeted.

Through interactive activities and real-life scenarios, this workshop aims to foster a sense of responsibility and community solidarity, encouraging everyone to play a role in creating a safer and more inclusive environment.

Empowerment Self Defense

Our Empowerment Self-Defense workshop is designed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge to protect themselves and others in threatening situations. This workshop covers physical techniques, verbal strategies, and psychological tactics to enhance personal safety and confidence. Participants will learn how to recognize and avoid potential dangers, set and enforce boundaries, and respond effectively to various levels of aggression. By fostering a supportive and empowering environment, this workshop aims to build resilience and empower individuals to take control of their personal safety and well-being

Parenting Workshop - Raising Children in a New Country.

This workshop is designed to support immigrant parents in navigating the challenges of raising children in a new cultural and social environment. It aims to provide practical advice, emotional support, and a sense of community among participants. We hold culturally appropriate parent or teen support groups to encourage maintaining a positive connection to their ethnic heritage while fostering a positive identity as an American.

Key components covered include

  • understanding the new environment
  • balancing cultures, parenting techniques
  • emotional and social support
  • education and extracurricular activities.

Who is training for?

We work with groups from corporations, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, religious organizations, community organizations, and private groups.

Each session is facilitated through a trauma-informed lens and centers on the experiences of those at risk for violence.
